Responsive Composition, collaborative web project
Responsive Composition (2022) is an interactive web project that produces custom compositions, created using javascript and WebGazer.js. Here, instead of the more traditional approach of guiding viewer eye movement through composition design, our composition responds to a viewer's eye movements and adjusts live, according to viewer preference. This project was created in collaboration with Thomas Barnett-Young.

celluMoj (2020) is an interactive video mirror that reflects through the use of layered emojis and other various visual fragments. This reflection is produced with a slight delay, in order to further engage viewers.

Adapted from simpleLand, simpleWater, simpleWater (2019) was illuminated for one night to highlight the state of the Mississippi Gulf Coast during the summer of 2019, which involved beach closures due to toxic algea blooms.

Porch RGB, collaborative site-specific projection
Commissioned by the University of Mississippi Museum for their neighboring Walton Young House, Porch RGB (2019) celebrates and documents Oxford, MS at a specific moment in time through daytime and nighttime components. The night component involves video, animation, and projection mapping, while the day component involves assembled windows with photography by artist/photographer Rebekah Flake. The original design was adapted after a Neo-Confederate group arrived to march (right past the installation site) in Oxford, MS on what was to be the original install day.

Sponsored by Capital One, as part of InLight Richmond at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, stoneWarm (2018) invites visitors to touch the stones that surround the entrance to the museum in order to provide communal warmth to the stones, which are directly connected to Richmond's soil. The piece is comprised of programmable LED strips, push buttons, memory foam, and speakers.

Ghost of a Bleeding Tree (2018) is a site specific Distrx App activated animated GIF. It is inspired by the work (and approved by the members) of the Lafayette Community Remembrance Project. This project was funded by Burning Man.

The People That We Love (2018) is an abstract screen capture stop motion animation that simultaneously describes a journey of seasons, media , and memory. The title comes from the audio, which if you listen to closely, may sound like a repetetive digital voice reciting "the people that we love".

In electronicsOnCanvas (2017-2020), circuits and LEDs can be activated by touch, or the presented circuit itself is deconstructed to the point where design outweights functionality—highligting the role of the viewer.

The transitory tomb is a crypt originally used in late 14th century Northern Europe. These structures were created to juxtapose the grandeur of titles and personal decor with mortality and deterioration as a way of remembering the dead. I Mortal: Bed of Poses (2007) is a rendition of my own transi-tomb.

Twister too forces people to be physically close but it is highly interactive. Elevator Twister (2006) combines the two—making the physical space become more obvious.
